Why Adopt A Greyhound?
|
Our Adoption Process If you would like to inquire about adopting a dog from Operation Greyhound, please complete our Adoption Application and Adoption Agreement. If you have any questions on completing the form, please contact Bob or Bruna Palmatier at operationgreyhound@cox.net. Our adoption process is for the benefit of both the dogs and potential greyhound families. We qualify families based on their needs and attempt to match those to the needs of our dogs. Completing the application and agreement is the first step in the adoption process. Once they are received, a volunteer will call you to set up a home visit. Our volunteer can help you see your home through a greyhound's eyes. Remember, your greyhound may have never seen things like stairs and sliding glass doors. After these criteria are met, you are ready to pick out your greyhound. Your volunteer will give you directions to and visiting hours for our rescue. The volunteers at our rescue are very knowledgeable about each dog and eager to help you choose your new greyhound friend. Your greyhound will
come to you having been given a dental exam and cleaning, spayed or
neutered, vaccinated, wormed, blood tested for tick-diseases, groomed, and
with a collar and leash. Our adoption fee, which helps cover the cost of
these services, is currently $430. Mailing address for Adoption Applications and/or for Donations: Operation
